Practice Focus — Family Law

Beth received her B.S. in Political Science in 1990 from Guilford College and her Juris Doctorate from Wake Forest University in 1993. After law school, she clerked for the Honorable Hugh A. Wells of the North Carolina Court of Appeals.

Beth originally joined the firm in 1994, though she left from 2003 until 2009 to reside in Athens, Greece, where she continued practicing law. Beth's practice primarily focuses on the issues of child custody, child support, spousal support (postseparation support and alimony), equitable distribution, and domestic violence.

Beth is a member of the North Carolina Bar Association and its Family Law Section, the North Carolina Academy of Trial Lawyers and its Family Law Section and the American Bar Association.

Beth also serves on the Socrates Foundation, which supports the mission and development of the Socrates Academy, a North Carolina public charter school.
