Matt Covington
Practice Focus— General Civil Litigation

A native of Charlotte, Matt graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with a B.A. in American Studies in 2004. He earned his J.D. in 2009 from Campbell University School of Law. While in law school, Matt was active on the Student Bar Association and the Honor Court. During the summer of 2007 Matt clerked for the Honorable John C. Martin, Chief Judge of the North Carolina Court of Appeals.

After graduating from Campbell University, Matt moved back to Charlotte to join James, McElroy & Diehl, P.A. Matt is licensed to practice law in the North Carolina state courts as well as the federal court for the Western District of North Carolina. He is a member of the Mecklenburg County, North Carolina and American bar associations.
