Adam L. Ross

Adam earned his J.D. in 2003 from the University of North Carolina School of Law, after receiving a B.A. in psychology, with distinction, from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, with a minor in history. He joined James, McElroy & Diehl immediately after receiving his law degree, and became a partner in the firm in 2008. His practice includes handling a variety of complex civil litigation matters, including business disputes, shareholder conflicts, real property disputes, securities litigation, contract disputes, and employment matters (with a special focus on conflicts related to covenants not to compete). A significant portion of Adam’s practice includes representing team owners and drivers throughout professional motorsports, including NASCAR, NHRA, and AMA (Motocross and Supercross) in various litigation matters. He is admitted to practice before all North Carolina state trial and appellate courts and federal courts, including alternative dispute resolution forums, most notably, arbitrations and mediations. Adam has argued on multiple occasions before the North Carolina Court of Appeals, and is a member of the Mecklenburg County, North Carolina, and American Bar Associations. He is a graduate of the Bar Leadership Institute, and received a peer review rating of AV, by Martindale-Hubbell.
