ATTORNEYSJared E. Gardner Jared Gardner is a civil litigator with experience in a range of practice areas. Jared's primary practice areas are commercial disputes, including complex litigation, and employment disputes, including the prosecution and defense of cases involving non-competition/solicitation agreements, Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, the Americans With Disabilities Act (ADA), the Family and Medical Leave Act of 1993 (FMLA), the Age Discrimination in Employment Act of 1967 (ADEA) and wage and hour law. Jared's litigation experience includes practice in multiple state and federal trial courts as well as significant appellate practice, including argument before both the North Carolina Court of Appeals and Supreme Court of North Carolina. Jared graduated summa cum laude from San Diego State University, 1996, with a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice Administration. He received his legal education at the University of California at Berkeley School of Law (Boalt Hall), J.D., 1999. Jared joined James, McElroy & Diehl in 2001 after practicing in California with Oakland based Crosby, Heafey, Roach & May (now Reed Smith).
