Mary Kay Baynard

Mary Kay is from Windsor, North Carolina. She received her B.A. and her J.D. from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where she was both a Phi Beta Kappa and the secretary of the Chapel Hill chapter of Phi Delta Phi. After law school, Mary Kay was a research assistant for two one-year terms to Honorable Robert F. Orr and Honorable Jack L. Cozort on the North Carolina Court of Appeals. Mary Kay and her husband have three children. She is actively involved at her children’s schools and at her church, Christ Episcopal, in Charlotte. Mary Kay is a member of the Mecklenburg County, North Carolina and American Bar Associations and the estate planning section of the North Carolina State Bar.
