ATTORNEYSRichard S. Wright A native of Winston-Salem, Richard received his undergraduate and law degrees from Wake Forest University (B.A. 1993; J.D. 1997). While in law school, Richard served on the editorial board of the Wake Forest Law Review, was a published author in the field of regulatory reform, and received the James F. Hoge Prize for best student writing. He is also a former clerk to the Honorable J. Craig Whitley of the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Western District of North Carolina and a past member of the North Carolina Bar Association’s Bankruptcy Council. Richard regularly litigates business cases, bankruptcy issues, and real estate disputes throughout North Carolina. Away from the office, Richard enjoys playing the guitar, running in local road races, and trips to the North Carolina coast. Richard and his family attend Covenant Presbyterian Church, where he is a member of the Recreation Ministries Committee. He is admitted to practice in all state and federal courts in North Carolina and in the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit.
