Harrison A. Lord

Raised in rural North Carolina, Harrison Lord attended the North Carolina School of Science and Mathematics before receiving his Bachelor of Arts from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. While at UNC, he twice earned the Monogram Award as a member of the varsity fencing team and was listed three times on the ACC Academic Honor Roll.

Harrison earned his Juris Doctor from the Washington University School of Law, where he received a Scholars in Law merit based scholarship and served as Associate Editor for the Washington University Journal of Law and Policy. In addition to placing third nationally in the ABA Representation in Mediation Competition, Harrison received the Judge John W. Calhoun Trial Practice Award at graduation in recognition of his talent for and dedication to trial work.

Harrison joined James, McElroy & Diehl after a two-year clerkship with the Honorable Richard A. Elmore of the North Carolina Court of Appeals. Since joining the firm, he has focused his practice on civil litigation and the resolution of business disputes. He is active in the North Carolina Bar Association and has served on a number of committees, including several terms as co-chair of the Young Lawyers Division Newsletter Committee.
