Robert H. Sheppard

Born and raised in Norfolk, Virginia, Bob Sheppard received his Bachelor of Arts from the University of Virginia. After graduation, he spent the next six years touring the world serving in the United States Army, leaving as a captain. He then attended law school at St. Mary’s University of San Antonio School of Law in San Antonio, Texas, where he served on the law journal and graduated with honors.

At James, McElroy & Diehl, Bob’s practice focuses on commercial real estate and corporate law. He serves on the North Carolina Credit Union Commission and the North Carolina Bar Association Real Property Section Council.

Bob is married and has two adult children. His interests include reading, hiking and travel. He has served as president of the Unitarian Universalist Church of Charlotte.
