Kate C. Brennan
Kate Brennan focuses her practice on all aspects of family law, including divorce, equitable distribution, spousal support, marital agreements, child custody, child support, and domestic violence.
Kate is originally from Wrightsville Beach, North Carolina. Kate graduated from Flagler College in St. Augustine, Florida, with a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism & Media Production and a minor in political science.
Kate received her Juris Doctor from American University in Washington, DC. While in law school, Kate interned with the United States House of Representatives and the Federal Communications Commission. Kate also served as the Editor-in-Chief of the American University Legislation and Policy Brief and served as a student attorney in the Glushko-Samuelson Intellectual Property Law Clinic. Kate practiced law in Washington, DC, before returning to North Carolina. Kate is also licensed to practice law in South Carolina. Kate joined James, McElroy & Diehl in 2026.
In her free time, you can catch Kate at concerts around town or at the beach with her friends and family.
