Joseph H. Karam
Joe Karam is a civil litigator and NCDRC Certified Superior Court Mediator, who has represented hundreds of individuals and organizations in a variety of litigation matters.
Originally from Scranton, Pennsylvania, Joe earned his undergraduate degree from Villanova University, focusing his studies on finance and international business, and spending time living and working in Melbourne, Australia. He went on to earn his Juris Doctor from the Wake Forest University School of Law and while earning his degree, served as a judicial intern to the Honorable Thomas I. Vanaskie, United States Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit.
After earning his Juris Doctor, Joe entered private practice in Pinehurst, North Carolina, before relocating to Charlotte and establishing his own firm. Joe joined James, McElroy & Diehl in 2025, along with his paralegal Megan Andrews and associate attorney Jasmine White.
