Kate A. Foody
Katelyn “Kate” Foody focuses her practice on family law and divorce matters, including child custody, child support, spousal support, equitable distribution, domestic violence, and marital contracts. Kate’s practice in domestic law has included navigating clients through litigation, arbitration, and collaborative matters. While Kate’s practice philosophy is that most matters can and should be resolved outside of the courtroom, Kate is a fierce advocate for her clients both in and out of court.
Kate graduated from Clemson University in 2017 with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and a minor in Philosophy. She received her Juris Doctor from Wake Forest University School of Law, graduating in 2020. While in law school, Kate worked with the Children’s Law Center through the Child Advocacy Clinic, assisting advocates on high conflict custody cases. She also was a member of the Wake Forest Journal of Business and Intellectual Property Law and the Domestic Violence Coalition.
Kate continues to include her passion of helping victims of domestic violence as a volunteer attorney with Safe Alliance.
Outside of her practice, Kate enjoys exploring the Charlotte greenways, and the Carolina beaches and mountains with her husband and golden retriever, Delta.
