Shailyn St. Brice
Shailyn St. Brice focuses her practice on family law, including matters involving divorce, child custody, child support, spousal support, equitable distribution, and domestic violence.
Shailyn earned her bachelor’s degrees in Political Science and Philosophy, with a minor in Philosophy, Politics, and Economics (PPE), from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. While at Carolina, she competed as a member of the UNC gymnastics team. She went on to receive her Juris Doctor from UNC School of Law. During law school, Shailyn interned with the Executive Office for Immigration Review within the U.S. Department of Justice, and later with James, McElroy & Diehl, P.A. as a 2024 summer associate, where she discovered her passion for family law.
As an active member of the law school community, Shailyn served as Vice President of the Black Law Students Association, a staff member of the First Amendment Law Review, competed as a member of the Holderness Moot Court Team, and later served as Chief Justice of the Moot Court program. Upon graduation, she was inducted into the James E. and Carolyn B. Davis Society, which honors students who demonstrate academic and personal excellence, as well as a commitment to serving the law school community.
Outside of work, Shailyn likes to watch movies, play games with friends and family, and cheer on the Tar Heels.
