Charges Dropped Against Charlotte Demonstrator Chanting ‘Love,’ During Scott Protest

Jonathan Redfern, a local Charlotte artist, was arrested while leading a chant of “love, love, love” during the demonstrations in the aftermath of the fatal police shooting of Keith Lamont Scott. His attorney, James, McElroy & Diehl’s Jon Burns represented him on a misdemeanor charge of failure to disperse, which was later dropped by the Mecklenburg District Attorney’s Office.
